Report: Mathew Knowles files defamation lawsuit against 'The Sun'

Beyonce's father Mathew Knowles is suing Rupert Murdoch-owned British tabloid "The Sun."  According to "The Wrap," Knowles is claiming an article about him published back in March contains "malicious and false statements."

Among the alleged falsehoods from the piece written by reporter Georgina Dickinson was that Knowles had gone through a "bitter rift with his famous daughter" and that he'd never met his granddaughter Blue Ivy, now over a year old.

The suit also says that when Mathew confronted the reporter about how she'd allegedly misrepresented him, she had said that someone at "The Sun" had changed the story that she'd originally filed and published a different one.

Knowles is suing the tabloid for defamation and breach of contract, seeking unspecified damages.
