The brother of late singer Amy Winehouse believes she was killed by an eating disorder. Winehouse's death was determined to be caused by alcohol poisoning, but Alex Winehouse tells the British magazine "The Observer" that what really killed his sister was bulimia.
Given her problems with drugs and alcohol, Alex admits that Winehouse would have died eventually, however, he says bulimia left her weaker, and more susceptible.
Amy apparently began suffering from bulimia in her late teens. While all her friends growing up were supposedly bulimic, Alex says all except Amy eventually stopped purging their food.
Amy Winehouse passed away in 2011. She was 27.
